This Ferrero Rocher Martini is such a deliciously simple cocktail that delivers in chocolate hazelnut flavour. This creamy, chocolatey cocktail is made with just 4 ingredients and tastes just like one that you'd order at a bar. This is a pushy recipe Dear Reader!
It's been quite a year and that means that we are all in need of something delicious and alcoholic to celebrate. Ironically I don't drink much, a few sips is more than enough for me but I want those sips to be delicious. I want them to count.
Enter this Ferrero Rocher martini.
If you love chocolate and hazelnut and the crunch from Ferrero Rochers then you will adore this Rocher martini. It requires just 4 ingredients:
1- Chocolate Ice Cream
2 - Baileys
3 - Vodka (I also make it using Mr Black or Kahlua)
4 - Nutella
This chocolate martini cocktail is so easy, the decorating takes more time than the cocktail making itself (and even then the decoration only takes a minute). I sometimes make the martini up ahead of time and keep it in the fridge for cocktail hour later on in the day. I place it in a shaker, add some ice cubes and then shake it to mix it up again and then pour. Sometimes I don't even bother with the rim decoration because we are on holidays and I'm taking the path to least resistance.
So far these holidays I have taken 2 days off for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but I'm back in the swing of work again as it's time to make New Year's recipes. This cocktail will definitely be featuring for new years because it is so deliciously moreish, tastes like a cocktail that a bartender would make and can be done ahead of time. For as long as I can remember, particularly while I've been cooking I occasionally have these dreams. They'd probably be considered low key nightmares. In these dreams I have people coming over and I have nothing prepared for them. I search through my fridge and pantries looking for things and can't find anything. Then I walk around the house and nothing is ready. These dreams intensify around Halloween and I've lost count of the number of Halloween dreams I have where people are arriving and there's nothing spooky in the house! I feel safe when I have recipes that can be quickly whipped up at a moments notice but don't taste like they are last minute if you know what I mean. And this is one of those recipes to have up your sleeve.
I would also like to take this chance to say a big thank you to all of you for reading and for supporting my little corner of the internet for the past year (or years as the case might be). I know it's been a challenging year for a lot of people and I'm so happy that we got through it all - together! Happy New Years!
Lots of love,
Lorraine
