Barely a recipe, more a recipe idea, these Ritz cracker S'mores are made with salt sprinkled Ritz crackers, a layer of torched marshmallows and a generous spread of honey and peanut butter. Try these for a riff on the traditional S'more!
The idea for this came straight from Ivy. She brought the fixings for S'mores to my Halloween party and that included regular cookies and Ritz crackers. Valentina and I asked people to bring 80's food and I guess they were big in the 80's (although they still continue to be).
Ivy is a good friend and I like the fact that she is both honest with me but polite about it. Like she will tell me the straight up truth but she'll do it in a nice way, not a blunt or hurtful way (some people blur the lines between bluntness with honesty). I never want to surround myself with yes people in case I become too unbearable. But I did realise that I am rather susceptible to a compliment, especially an unexpected one.
As you may know exercise has only recently in the last few years become my sort of thing. And when I recently had a massage the woman administering it said, "I can see you like to exercise, your muscles are strong".
I've never heard that before (in my life-everrrr) and I have to admit that I was very happy to hear that. In fact I was on a high after the massage-and I tipped her well! It did occur to me that perhaps she said that to everyone though ;)
Also these S'mores might somewhat negate the effects of exercise!
So tell me Dear Reader, have you got really honest or blunt friends? What is the nicest and most unexpected compliment you've ever received?
