Stranger Things Edible Demogorgon Monster Strawberries!

Demogorgon Halloween Stranger Things Food

It's almost the witching season Dear Reader and if you loved Stranger Things as much as I did, then you can make these easy Demogorgon chocolate strawberries! With just three ingredients you can easily make a tasty Hallowe'en treat!

I was amazed at how easily these came together. I actually first conceived these as cupcakes shaping the demogorgon petals from red tinted gum paste. Admittedly they would be fiddly and time consuming but hopefully effective.

Little did I realise that strawberries actually already look like a demogorgon head and all you need is a bit of dark chocolate to hold them together and some white chocolate teeth! The added bonus is that it makes it a snack to feed everyone as it is vegetarian and gluten free!

My friend Monica told me about something funny that happened to her one Halloween. She really gets into the spirit of Halloween because she grew up in America and although she doesn't get trick or treaters very much she dresses up her house.

As she's a chef she regularly gets deliveries to her house. One year she opened her door to find her bread in the street, not neatly placed at her front door as was the usual custom.

Understandably miffed, she rang up the wholesaler and demanded, "Why is my bread in the street?".

The man on the other end of the phone then started to chuckle. He explained that the delivery driver had seen her Halloween decorations and had mistaken the caution tape for a real crime scene and skedaddled out of her with haste flinging the bread out of his way! Sometimes, some things are a bit too realistic. I hope you'll find these simultaneously spooky, cute and delicious at the same time!

So tell me Dear Reader, are you a Stranger Things fan? Do you decorate or do anything for Halloween?

Match similarly sized strawberries

Pipe white chocolate "teeth"

Step 3 - Make a small parchment piping bag and melt the white chocolate (use a 75% heat if using microwave). Spoon into the piping bag and draw "teeth" around the centre and on the outside of the strawberry petals (if the chocolate gets too firm, microwave for 8 seconds or so). Refrigerate until set. Store in fridge.
